WHO WE ARE
The mission of the Great British Business Council is to improve public and political understanding of the benefits a prosperous business community offers to the entire economy. It was created to support British firms by promoting well-developed, practical, evidence-based policy reforms that encourage enterprise and innovation. It is independent of any political party, as it hopes that all parties will consider adopting the straightforward, practical policy suggestions it proposes.

Catherine McBride
Catherine McBride is an economist specialising in trade and an OBE recipient. A former derivatives trader, she writes on economics, trade, and taxes and regularly appears on TV, radio, and podcasts.

Brian Monteith
Brian Monteith is a public relations consultant with over 40 years’ domestic and international experience. A former Scottish and European parliamentarian, he has advised commercial and government clients and writes for The Daily Telegraph and The Scotsman.
